I love Westerns more than any other genre. I can quote the Magnificent Seven by heart. Hell, even sci-fis like Firefly that have a Western aesthetic get my attention. There’s something about the lone man versus the crowd and the desire to do right amidst so much wrong that makes a hell of a story.

That being said, it’s impossible to divorce the American Western from the legendary composer Ennio Morricone, whose work defined the soundtrack of the Hollywood cowboy. Everytime I see a tumbleweed blow by, I’ve got to start whistling.
