My poor wife. We only see each other near midnight half the week, and the other half I’m so busy or tired making up for lost time we don’t talk. She cooks and cleans and smiles sweetly and supports me, all while building her career and writing a book. I’m the luckiest man alive. She’s, quite literally, my hero.

Which makes the fact that we could possibly fight over something as stupid as a pair of socks all the more ridiculous. I should literally do anything she asks. Why am I so damn cranky on Sunday mornings. What’s the appropriate make-up gift? Flowers? Done. Card? Mmm. Chocolate? Maybe. Need more ideas.

I love the fact that the new Conservative government is rushing to form a coalition with the Liberal Democrats in order to effectively run the country.

Can you imagine something like that happening in the United States?
